Conditions and General Information
Rates: Date of travel determines the rate, therefore split season rates may apply. Rates are charged by calendar day, not 24 hour hire.
Driver’s age: Min 21 years. Over 75 yrs requires Doctor’s certificate.
Driver’s Licence: A valid English format licence held for a minimum of 1 year.
Depots: 4 - Auckland, Christchurch & Queenstown. (Queenstown pick ups & returns incur a NZ$10 fee, paid direct), Wellington by arrangement, incurring a NZ$50 fee for pick ups or drop offs at Wellington depot. (airport not available).
Branch hours 7am - 6pm daily. Closed Christmas Day.
Rates include: GST, unlimited kms & standard insurance with excess of NZ$5,000. Pre-hire cleaning fee, extra driver fees, all bedding, cooking utensils, towels, maps, extension cords & instruction manuals. Welcome Pack.
Minimum Hire: 5 days (except 20 Dec - 10 Jan - 7 day minimum.)
One Way Rentals: Between Nov 04 - 31 Mar 05 one way rentals picking up Auckland, dropping off Christchurch NZ$180 (paid direct).
Vehicle Security Deposit: (Bond) Clients are responsible for the first NZ$5,000 of any claim including windscreen and tyre damage. (Consult the Rental Agreement for a full list of conditions). Payable by cash or credit card, (which will be processed on arrival) Fully refunded if vehicle returned undamaged with a full tank of fuel.
Maui Excess Reduction Options: (non refundable)
Option 1: Paying NZ$20 extra per day reduces the excess to NZ$2,500.
Option 2: Paying NZ$38 extra per day reduces the excess to Nil. A security deposit of NZ$220 must be left.
Diesel Tax Recovery Fee: Charged per 1000 kms and based on vehicle size. ranging from NZ$25 - NZ$30 per 1000kms. Paid at termination of hire.
LPG Gas Refill Fee:

Airport Transfers: Complimentary (excluding Wellington - 40 min drive).
Auckland - Complimentary coach every 30 mins during office hours.
Christchurch - airport free phone for shuttle. 7 am - 5:45 pm
